x1 is an air brake (control surface) of vehicle x2 in atmosphere x3; x1 slows the motion of vehicle x2 by increasing drag in atmosphere x3.
Most common on aircraft, but may also be present on other types of vehicles. Not to be confused with compressed air brakes. See vacri, jabre.
